| Compiling
And Testing: I see you've made it this far ;) hope you've saved your map.
Now were going to take a look at compiling and testing the map. Embrace works
a little different here then most map editors that i've ran across, and seems to be alot
faster at calculating lighting which really amazed me after spending hour apon hour
waiting for a Q3 map to do lighting and the same map in vampire took 10 minutes!
from the menu, click File Then Vampire Export

this will pop up a menu for setting options for compiling vampire. the options menu
will look like this:

Notice that its broke down into sections, as well as a few buttons to the side that
will set basic options for exporting. Geometry is what sets all the paths for moving
objects, detail items like some flames or the blood spots you see on devnulls floor, and
grafitti you see in newyork, and sectors. Geometry is mainly used in finnal
exporting or when your wanting to make sure your item is setup properly for in the game.
Lighting is just that, lighting. here we don't have to worry about moon/sunlight
because we don't have any visible sky so it won't have a effect on our level. The
ambient light sets the intensity of the basic level of lighting threw out the entire
level.
The Export Static objects Exports everything thats in the static layer, which is what
we have been working on. The Export Scenes, exports all the items on the Scenes for
the level. You will learn more about scenes later on in this tutorial. For now
we are going to do a full compile on our level, so go ahead and click the Full Export
button to the right.

Once you click that button click export, the screen to the right will show what its
done so far in the compilining process as shown above. once the compile of the map is
done, we can test our map in vampire If you set the paths properly in the prefrences
screen.
at the top of the export screen there is a run button, click that now. Vampire
will start up and you will be sitting at the main menu, click the SINGLE PLAYER game, and
then click NEW GAME. A little box will pop up like below

click the ok button, this is just telling us that its not starting a regular vampire
single player game and that the autosave file is going to be overwrote. Now you
should be in your level ;)
