1. Introduction

Welcome to WOD MoD, the World of Darkness Modification for Vampire: the Masquerade Redemption. The WoD Mod is a compilation of all the applicable elements from the tabletop game Vampire: the Masquerade. The WoD Mod is dedicated to delivering a full role-playing experience to all players and Storytellers.

2. Installation

Install "Vampire : the Masquerade - Redemption" and Patch Version 1.1.

Run the install program.

It is recommended that you read this documentation carefully, otherwise you may miss out on many features.

3. Usage

In the program group there are a number of shortcuts. One for each character type implemented in the WoDMod. (At the time of writing these are Vampire, Mage, Werewolf and Changeling) These shortcuts launch the Redemption in different modes. These modes are fully compatible with each other and different clients may be used in the same game. Although any of the character types may be used in each of the modes, it is recommended that the correct mode be used. It will make life a lot easier for you. The Storyteller should choose the mode that is most applicable for them. This would be normally based on what the players are using or on which types NPCs are being used. Please see the individual mod sections for more information on how to use their special features.

Technical Details

The shortcuts actually now call a program, in the WoDMod subdirectory under Vampire, called wodmod_launcher.exe. This takes its input from wodmod_launcher.ini. This is where you need to set any parameters to the Vampire executable. eg. -nocutscenes etc... -console is already defined in it and you must not use -user. The user directory will always be the directory that wodmod_launcher.exe resides in.

4. Trait Ratio

The ratio of the Traits in the modification has been set to 10:1. This means that for every dot in the tabletop Vampire: the Masquerade game, there are ten points in the Salvation Mod. These will be set players as soon as they enter the game.
If players don't wish these changes to  be saved with their characters then they should exit the game with ALT-F4.

5. Temporary Willpower

This now appears as an icon. Right click on it to stack a point up ready for use in the next dice roll.

The ST can modify the amount of willpower a character has using the STOrb commands.

stcmd willpower player# amount

eg.
stcmd willpower 1 -4 - removes 4 temporary willpower from player 1
stcmd willpower 2 2 -adds 2 temporary willpower to player 2
