While in the multi-player game, inform the ST of the Breed and Auspice you wish to play. You may already notice that a character sheet has been set up for you, including abilities, advantages, garou common powers, howls, and gifts. All of these start out empty and therefore are ony viewable when in the "Advance" screen. The ST will then need to spawn one of the appropriate tomes for the player. These are labeled:
Pick up and use both tomes. After reading, the system will then store your auspice and breed (not reading this will cause problems for your game), adjusting Gnosis and Rage points on your character sheet as necessary. Experience points are still being worked on for each of the available items, until then work with your ST to develop a starting character. Note, "disciplines" with a (high) next to them represent those items that can go above five dots. The system will not recognize any dots in the (high) levels until all dots are used up in the first level.
Forms
For more information on Forms and their benefits, see the Werewolf: The Apocalypse source book.
Delirium
Rage
Gnosis
Meditation
Rank
Within a separate "discipline group tab" are the howls, known by all garou and can be used as a form of language. Several new howls are included in the Werewolf mod. When a howl is used, everyone on the same map can hear it, as the howls tend to reverberate through entire cities. Most people will not make sense of a howl, but garou will have messages show up on their screens detailing what the howl means and whom it was from. See the Werewolf: The Apocalypse sourcebook for more information on the types of howls.
There are over 200 garou gifts and we hope to include all of them. Several gifts
do to their dynamic nature may still be listed on the character sheet but will
only be there for story purposes and experience point expenditure. They are
separated by Tribe, Breed, and Auspice.
These gift listings are summarized as much as possible to still be understandable
the PC Game terms, while trying to keep with White Wolfs documentation policies.
For more information on gifts, I suggest reading up on them in the Werewolf: The
Apocalypse source book.
To add a new discipline bought with experience requires the ST to do so for the
character. The Garou will start with the gift group that is normally available
to the tribe, breed, or auspice but gifts outside of that group require the ST
to use the command console to add them. For the ST to add Smell Of Man to a
Lupus garou use ~ to access the command console, then type adddiscipline
GiftSmellOfMan. That gift and the new gift group will then be added to the
players character sheet. Use the wording in italics next the the discipline
below that you wish to add.

Cedits:3. Werewolf Gifts and Powers
3.1 Garou Common Powers
These are powers all Garou possess. Not all require certain levels to be acquired, nor can some of it be purchased through experience points. This "discipline group" contains both usable powers and Character sheet holders like Rank, which is used to check if gifts can be used. Depending on your ST, you cannot lose rank. You can however lose renown, which in turn makes you lose respect. But an elder cannot suddenly be demoted to a cub. This is done so that all Gifts have checks on them so those of sufficient rank can only cast them.
All forms from the source book are available to change into. These are Homid Form, Glabro Form, Crinos Form, Hispo Form, and Lupus Form. Though it is included in the Common group for those wanting to "quick slot" it, there are actual buttons on screen allowing you to select them to switch forms with ease.
This is the affect that occurs when a human sights a Crinos Garou. Depending on the strength of their will, they will either run in fear, or go berserk. Either way, they begin to rationalize what they see or may forget totally that a Garou was even there.
Rage will speed the character up for a certain amount of time. Each time you "cast" it, it increases the speed more, allowing for faster attacks and greater distances covered. A Garou with enough rage can keep up with the fastest of wyrm taint filled Vampires. Do not purchase "Rage (high)" until all points have been purchased in "Rage".
Gnosis is a stored item on the character sheet. Your permanent gnosis is the amount on the Character Sheet. As you use gifts or items that require gnosis expenditure, the temporary amount will go down. Do not purchase "Gnosis (high)" until all points have been purchased in "Gnosis".
There are only a few ways to gain back gnosis. Hunt for it, or meditate. Meditation should be used sparingly and monitored by the ST.(Note: as this is only beta, there are not many ways to acquire gnosis. In future versions as gafflings and spirits are introduced, Meditation may take up to 5 minutes of in game time to perform.)
This is a character sheet item as well. It is used to determine if you can use certain gifts that can only be used by those in high enough rank. Rank cannot be bought with experience points, it must be earned by your actions. See above for more info. See the Werewolf: The Apocalypse source book for more info on Rank and earning it through Renown.3.2 Howls
