1. Introduction

One of the most common bugs with mods to VTMR, reported to me is the "Crypt Crash Bug". This occurs when players use multiple mods and the main game. When a character from a mod which is not the one currently being used is selected, then the game crashes to desktop. This can happen immediately that LAN or Internet is clicked on if the default character is from the wrong mod.

The Crypt Manager will solve this problem as regards to WoDMod.

Normally Vampire stores the characters for the game in a folder under the vampire one called "Crypt". When Crypt Manager is being used WoDMod stores its characters instead in a folder called "WODCT".

This then means that the characters from the WoDMod do not appear on the lists for any other mod or the main game, and vice versa. Therefore the Crypt crash bug will not occur.

2. Setup

Crypt Manager is installed as standard with WoDMod Beta 1.01 and above.

If you have used wodmod before you probably have a load of characters in the orignal Vampire Crypt. These need moving to the WoDMod crypt. To do this run the Crypt Manager program from the Start Menu. (see the next section for details)

3. Using the Crypt Manager program

The Crypt Manager program shows two lists. The one on the left is the original vampire crypt. The one on the right is the new WoDMod crypt.

To Move characters select them in the list (you can multiple select with CTRL and SHIFT) and then click on the appropriate "Move" button.

To Delete characters select them in the list and click the Delete button below that list. A confirmation prompt will be shown before the operation is performed.

To Rename characters select them in the list and click the Rename button below that list. An edit box will appear allowing to change the name of the character.

When finished click Exit.

Note : Changes are performed immediately so be careful!
