Importing the model into Milkshape.
 

We have our model, so on to the next part - creating a NOD file. This file is our model in a format that the game uses. The model itself can be in any format that Milkshape 3D can import. For our purposes here we'll be using the 3DS importer, even though it's pretty buggy. It'll work well enough for such a simple model.

Open Milkshape 3D, and choose File, Import, Autodesk 3DS. Click the >> button to the right of the text box to browse for the model. Make sure the Meshes and Materials buttons are ticked.

You should see the model in the viewports.
