    The Path of Paradox

Nickname: Shilmulo (a Romani word for vampire)
Basic Beliefs: All most without exception all followers of the Path of Paradox comes from clan Ravnos, allthough there are a few Gangrels and Malkavians who claim to walk the Path of Paradox. The Path is influenced by, or has infulenced, certain aspects of Hinduism. Kindred are outside the never ending universal cycle (maja). While other beings on the other hand are continualy reborn through samsara, a continual connection to the cycle of rebirth. All people have a purpose to fill (svadharma), according to the Path, but Kindred have lost theirs. Because of the curse, and the Shilmulo regard their immortality as a curse, all Kindred must now try to advance maja. How to advance maja does however variy, but one thing is common to all the Shilmulo; Vampires who do not follow the Path, must be eliminated.

Path of Paradox Hierarchy of Sins
ScoreMoral Guideline Rationale
10Embracing a woman Males traditionally make better offerings to the gods.
9Embracing outside the jati (family line) Many others fail to comprehend the depth of the Paradox philosophy.
8Destroying another Shilmulo Charity does not, as is widely belived, begin at home.
7Killing a mortal for sustenance Death robes a person of the ability to fulfill their svadharma
6Failing to destroy another vampire Those who cannont see the true way should be returned to a productive role in the cycle.
5Killing a mortal for reasons other than survival A person may not have achived her svadharma, and preventing such is anathema.
4Failure to aid another's svadharma The shruti (what has been learned from the gods) defines this as the Shilmulo's purpose.
3Allowing one's sect affairs to procede one's dharma One's allegiance should be to the god, not to one's companions.
2Becoming blood bound One may never destroy one's regnant, which is the whole purpose of this Path.
1Embracing needlessly or out of personal desire One must return others to the cycle, not extract them from it.
