    Clans

Antitribu, the word means "anti-tribe" or "anti-clan". It is used to describe those who have rejected their parental clan and have joined the ranks of the Sabbat instead. There's currently only one major exception to this, that's the Lasombra Antitribu. They have forsaken their parental clan, which is one of the leading clans of the Sabbat, and are now instead members of the Camarilla. (Note: That dosn't mean there aren't any Tzimisce Antitribu among the Camarilla, they're just extremely few.)

[ - Brujah Antitribu - ]

Differences between the Antitribu and the mainstream clan are hard to find, but there are some. The Antitribu are very devoted to their sect, as opposed to the Camarilla Brujah, and they are a cornerstone in the Sabbat army. Serving as grunts in almost every major Sabbat offensive or defensive. They're as brutal as they're effective, and in this they take great pride and enjoyment.

  • Nickname: Brutes
  • Clan disciplines: Celerity, Potence, Presence.
  • Weaknesses: All Brujahs are equaly flawed, and the Antitribu are no exception. Temper has always been at the root at the Brujahs disorganization, and they find they lure of frenzy even harder to resist than others. But while the Camarilla Brujahs try to stay in control for as long as possible, the Antitribu are often much less restrained.

[ - Gangrel Antitribu - ]

Gangrel has always been the most predatory of the clans, they excel and enjoy the hunt more than any others. The Gangrel Antitribu are however not bound to the same rules as those of the Camarilla, and are often alot more savage and beastial.
  • Nickname:Hunters
  • Clan disciplines (Country Gangrel): Animalism, Fortitude, Protean.
  • Clan disciplines (City Gangrel): Celerity, Obfuscate, Protean.
  • Weaknesses: Every time a Sabbat frenzy they become a little more animal, their ears become pointy, slitted pupils, larger and more permanent fangs, and et cetera. The only differences between the Camarilla and the Sabbat Gangrel is that the Antitribu are likely to frenzy alot more often.
  • Additional info: There are two different bloodlines exsisting inside the Sabbat. The Country Gangrel, and the City Gangrel. The first ones are very like the parental clan, they keep to themselfs and genraly live outside the cities and heavely populated areas. While the second, the City Gangrel, are more at home in the sub-urban areas.
[ - Harbingers of Skulls - ]

This ancient and powerful clan claim to have returned from the dead to extract vengeance upon an enemy unknown. (And as they claim to have returned from the dead, so they appear, dead. Skeletal appearance, almost without flesh on their bodies and with the grin of the skull frozen forever upon their visage.) Long ago, they claim, rogue sorcerers hunted their clan for blood and immortality. Without exception their members are old and extremely powerful, and even though they have only been members of the Sabbat for a few years their power is ever increasing.

Little is known about this secretive clan, their numbers are believed to be below a hundred. And few outside the sect know of their existance, indeed many of the sect's younger members have never seen not heard of them at all.

Many who have learned of the Harbingers follow the quote of the newly deceased Andreas Niccolo Giovanni of the Giovanni clan: "Oh, shi...."

  • Nickname: Lazarenes (after Lazarus)
  • Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Fortitude, Necromancy.
  • Weaknesses: Their skin has the deathly pallor of the dead, and their visage is frozen in an immortal skeletal grin. They appear almost like skeletons with a thinn layer of skin stretched over their bones and limbs. And indeed this is probably not far from the truth.
  • Additional info: There has been discovered a number of similarities between the Harbringers and the Samedi, some wonder if indeed they could be one and the same.
[ - Lasombra - ]

The Lasombra are the dark masters and manipulators of the hidden world. Or so they would like to think.

During the middle ages, the Lasombra was a clan of nobility and clergy, who considered themselves better than their peers. Being a clan of extremely driven individuals with a taste for power, they picked their childer from the ranks of the ambitious. Today, during these modern nights, they have changed, but much has stayed the same. They are more depraved, sinister than during the dark ages, but they are still refined, and elitish. They are still conspirateurs, who dive headlong into their vampiric natures. And still, it is a rare thing for a Lasombra to acknowledge a vampire outside of the clan as an equal.

The Lasombra are known for their clan Discipline, Obtenebration. Obtenebration give the Lasombra the ability to produce darkness, a darkness which they themselves claim is their own inner darkness, the stuff of their very souls. This darkness in some ways reflect the Lasombra way of thinking; the Lasombra are expert manipulators, working from the shadows using machiavellian plots to reach their goals. Known in the middle ages as the clan behind the throne, the Lasombra are interested in in power, not the appearance of power, and they will stop at nothing to get it.

  • Nickname: Magisters, Keepers
  • Sect: The rulers of the Sabbat, the entire clan, with a few swiftly crushed exceptions stands behind the Sword of Caine.
  • Clan Disciplines: Dominate, Potence, Obtenebration
  • Weaknesses: Vampires of clan Lasombra has no reflection. They do not show up in mirrors, they cannot be photographed, or filmed. They also take extra damage from sunlight.
[ - Malkavian Antitribu - ]

While the Camarilla Malkavians are known to use their madness productively, either to instruct or illustrate an idea. The Antitribu are more inclined to spread their madness like a disease. Many times the Sabbat has thought about eradicating the clan totally, because they are known to frenzy often and when they do it doesn't matter if you're friend or foe. But time and again they show their usefulness. Both as interrogators who control psychological torture to the extreme. And as fearless leaders in times of war, because they do not fear final death and neither are they afraid of doing what is necesary to win. What ever that might be.

  • Nickname: Freaks
  • Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Dementation, Obfuscate.
  • Weaknesses: Like all Malkavians, they are all unrecallably insane. But while the derangments of the Camarilla Malkavians range from A to Z, the madness of the Antitribu is more likely to be of a voilent nature.
[ - Nosferatu Antitribu - ]

Many see no difference between the Antitribu and the motherclan. And indeed differences are in no way apparent. Both where hit repeatedly with the ugly stick, and both are a source of information. This has people wondering if indeed the Nosferatu membership in the sect, indeed both of the sects, are just to keep them under surveillance and to work against their ancient enemy, the Nictuku. All of this is rumor, there isn't any proven connection between the clans. All though they have been rumored to be on very friendly terms with their clan mates.

  • Nickname: Creeps
  • Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Obfuscate, Potence.
  • Weaknesses: All Nosferau undergoes an transformation starting at the moment of their embrace. The length of this transformation is variable, but the result is always the same, at total destruction of their former visage. They are deformed and ugly, and the other clans avoid them when ever they can.

[ - Salubri Antitribu - ]

After an incident in ancient nights, the Salubri have suffered continued persecution by the Camarilla. And their hatred have now grown so much that many of their numbers have joined the Sabbat. And the Sabbat do not refuse willing warriors, knowing that the Salubri are no friend of the Camarilla and will do what ever they can to fight against it. The source of this hate was apparently the destruction of some powerful vampire in ancient nights, his name is long since forgotten.

They do however claim to have extracted some amount of reveange against some of those who wrought the destruction of their hero. A sorcerers' cabal of some sort.

  • Nickname: Furies
  • Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Fortitude, Valeren.
  • Weaknesses: They have to take the blood by force and drink it with undead passion. Or else the blood will have no effect and leave them as thirsty and hungry as before.
  • Additional info: N/A
[ - Serpents of the Light - ]

A bloodline of the Followers of Set, which probably originates from Haiti. When the Sabbat took control of Haiti the Cobras where recruited to the Sect. This however was not taken lighly by their mother clan and they demanded that the Serpents of Light terminated their membership in the Sabbat. The Serpents of Light did however refuse this offer, and had it not been for Sabbat intervention they would soon have been crushed utterly by the Setites. Now they have adopted the Sabbat way of thinking completely and they are devoted to the ultimate destruction of their god-founder Set.

  • Nickname: Cobras
  • Clan Disciplines: Obfuscate, Presence, Serpentis.
  • Weaknesses: It can be said that vamprires have a certain allergy when it comes to sunlight, then it can be said for the Cobras that they are hyper allergic. They take twice as much damage from sunlight as other vampires.
  • Additional info: N/A
[ - Toreador Antitribu - ]

The Toreador Antitribu are, like their mother clan, very interested in art. But as some are quick to point out, art is a subjective matter. And indeed the Toreador Antitribus 'art' differ greatly from their mother clan's. While the Camarilla Toreador adore paintings of beauty, and sculptures of man, the Antitribu are more attracted to flayed humans put on display. Pain, savagery and depravity are all fascinating subjects for the Toreador Antitribu.

While their counterparts in the Camarilla are considered decadent fools, without any ambition or authority. The same cannot be said of the Antitribu. As an example the current Regent of the Sabbat, Melinda Galbraith is a member of the Toreador Antitribu.

  • Nickname: Perverts, Pervs.
  • Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Celerity, Presence
  • Weaknesses: When ever they are presented with a situation where they can inflice emotional or physical pain, they have to work very hard not to.
  • Additional info: N/A
[ - Tzimisce - ]

What makes the Tzimisce what they are, is their unique clan discipline, Vicissitude. It allows them to change and twist the form and appearance of themselves as well as others. Often their form can be inhumanly grotesque or inhumanly beautiful.

In the early dark ages the Tzimisce was perhaps the most powerful and influential of all the clans, ruling, if not all then most of, eastern europe. They wielded powerful magic, known as Koldunic Sorcery. But as the Tremere transcended into immortality the Tzimisce gained a powerful rival to their sorecery. Not only where the Tremere powerful sorcerers, but they had gained their immortality through the use of Tzimisce vitae. The Tzimisce declared war upon this upstart fledgeling clan, as did many others who regarded the Tremere as a dangerous new adversary which should be destroyed while they where still weak. But the other clans did not only wage war upon the Tremere, they also made use of the opportunity to strike at the Tzimisce themselves. The elders of the clan began to sacrifice large numbers of their blood bond progency, whom where now, for the first time, beginning to plot against them. As if they hadn't enough problems already, their mortal subjects where rebelling too, as they had grown tired of the centuries of abuse they had suffered at the hands of their vampiric masters. All hell broke loss when the mortal church began its Inqusition and their childer finally managed to break the chains of the blood bond. It all came down to the Anarch Revolt, where countless Tzimisce elders where brought down and destroyed, some say even Tzimisce itself was destroyed in the process.

As the Anarch Revolt came to an end, the Camarilla was formed vowing that what had transpired must never be allowed to be repeated. The Tzimisce and the Lasombra, the clans which first rebelled and might be said to have sparked the revolt, founded their own sect which would wage war upon the Antediluvians and vowed they would never again be their pawns.

The Tzimisce of the modern world, serve as the advisors, scholars and priests of the Sabbat. Often they have removed all evidence of mortal morality and ethics. Seeking to increase their understanding of their vampiric natures through countless experiments, performed upon both mortals and immortals

  • Nickname: Fiends
  • Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Animalism, Vicissitude
  • Weaknesses: When a Tzimisce sleeps she must have at least two handfuls of earth from a place important her as a mortal nearby. If not she will grow weaker and weaker for each night, as sleep brings her no comfort nor restoration.
  • Additional info: N/A
[ - Ventrue Antitribu - ]

Differences between the Ventrue and the Ventrue Antitribu are only a few steps. The Ventrue mother clan considers themselves blue-blooded nobles with the right to rule, while the Antitribu are devoted knights and crusaders. Every one of the Ventrue Antitribu is cold and emotionless warriors, who holds honor highest. They will fight for the Sabbat, no matter what and to the bitter end. As a consequence of this there is a high quota of Ventrue Antitribu among the Inqusition and the Black Hand. Additionally, many become templars and paladins for the Sword of Caine.

  • Nickname: Crusaders
  • Clan Disciplines: Fortitude, Dominate, Presence
  • Weaknesses: They have a very selective taste when it comes to vitae. They may only feed from certain vessels, for example; only from the blind, handicaped, musicans, children, et cetera. Even when faced with starvation or frenzy they will not drink from any other vessel.
  • Additional info: N/A
