    Guide 6 - The Tremere

Welcome to my sixth installment of my walk-through. This guide is dedicated to those nasty little curs, the Tremere and their damn hoppers!

We left off talking to the Prince who informed you that the Tremere are trafficking mortals as slaves and guinea pigs. Christof then decides to go to the Tremere Chantry on Golden Lane. It is cleverly disguised as a Pharmacy. (shown below)

Once inside Serena will explain a few things about the Tremere before you get to any of the actual scrappin’.

Your first real fight is with those damn little terds, the hoppers. They are especially annoying because they are incredibly small and attack in large packs most often. You can either use fortitude or celerity to combat these little monsters. Fortitude will most likely make your defense to high for them to actually cause you damage and Celerity will give you the needed speed to dispatch of 4-5 hoppers before one actually hits you. I often play as Serena in the Tremere Chantry because she tends to be the weaker of the three and if you DON’T play her, she will most likely die or frenzy because she uses her vitae on disciplines much too fast.

Be very careful of the circles with lights. They do most often yield bloodstones, which are crucial to your survival, but they can sometimes bare bitter fruit. (golems in other words) When fighting the Tremere, speed is of the essence. These guys start mass producing hoppers and hurling balls of fire at you which will, if you’re not careful, turn your whole coterie into crispy critters in no time. I personally suggest either Celerity, Cloak of Shadows, or just go up to them and try to feed. You will most often succeed and you can just drain the blood right out of them.

In one of the rooms there will be a pedestal with a Camarilla Symbol on it and book lying open. Be sure to not miss this. This is the Tome of Blood Magic which gives you the ever so important discipline of Theft of Vitae….this is a must people!

You will sooner or later come to some people in cages, be sure to set them free because I think it gives you some humanity. Also, in another room, on a nearby table is a book, it’s Ardan’s Manifest. Be sure to pick this up because the story sort of rides on it.

In Chantry 3 you will come upon a Gangrel chained up. This is your newest bud, Eric. He will have no equipment so be sure to equip him. Otherwise he will be a sitting duck. If you have no equipment for him, switch from Serena and play as him instead because he will be your weak link and from this point there really aren’t too many crucial battles.

In Chantry 4 you will finally get to Ardan. You will talk with him for a while and find out that Anezka was sent to Vienna. You will have to fight him of course but don’t stress about it. He’s a real wuss and just letting your other three coterie members fight will conclude with his death.

Well that’s it for this one. I will continue with your trip to Vienna in the next guide. Happy hunting!

-Arkady
